Budgie on overseas flight?

Before more answers come to my original question, I have 1) already checked into the legalities and I am allowed to import a pet bird (not going to US or Australia) and 2) I know of someone who just brought 2 atiels on an overseas flight and they were fine. If you are a bird owner who has ever flown with your bird, please let me know how it went.
