I just want some opinions, its my hubbies birthday and he has been invited to spend the day out with his broth?

my hubby told me today that his brother spoke to me and said he wants to take him to a cricket match on his birthday, i think that is nice but i feel a bit upset by this because his birthday is on boxing day and he will spend most of the day out, if it was some huge game i wouldnt think twice but i feel upset because i wanted to do something to celebrate his birthday that evening we have a toddler and are limeted to what we do in the day, i know he would be upset if i made plans to spend my birthday with someone else, it really disapoints me to be left out of this special day, and my son and i will just end up sitting at home starring at the walls because we dont have an extra car and we spend everyday at home when my husband goes to work, hes also made plans to go on a surfing trip over new years and i said i dont mind but this is making me upset, is it wrong to expect that we would have spent the day together, what do you guys do for birthdays?
