Your ideal birthday party?

I would invite my family. They wouldn't have to give gifts, but gift certificates to stores I like would be nice. The food is mostly unimportant, as long as there's a good birthday cake. The party would be quiet and simple with the whole family having a good time together. Oh, and there would be good music (as something that hasn't been listed). I think that covers all parts of your question.
