Hi, i have problems with my ym, i sign in, all my contacts come up, but when i say hi it shut down. pls hel?

i cannot contact my friends on messenger, i sign in, then i say hi to them, then my ym go completely off. please fix it. i,m lost without their chat. thank you so much. E.Williams
