Does ChimneySaver water repellant damage asphalt shingles?

I have some spots on my shingles where I accidently got some of the water repellant on them. Is this serious? They did not soak in the repellant, but they did get some of it on them. I have GAF Grand Sequoia shingles that are thicker than most.
